In town for the RBI board of governors meeting, RBI Chief Shaktikanta Das visited Indore's street food hub, Chappan Dukan. Although he didn't eat anything, he did propose a vision to the shopkeepers, requesting them to accept only digital payments.

With this, he said, Indore's Chappan Dukan can become the first street food market in India to do so. On this visit, the RBI chief was particularly impressed by the cleanliness at the restaurants in Chappan Dukan.
