The ambitious multi-modal logistics park (MMLP) project of Madhya Pradesh has yet again come into headlines after the finalization of the bidder. Earlier in April 2022, the industries department began working over the finalization and acquisition of land in the Pithampur area of Indore, and the project was to be developed under a PPP model.

Incidentally, the bids for the development of the project were opened by the National Highways and Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) back in September 2022.

Now, a Rajasthan-based construction engineering company, G.R. Infraprojects has won the bids and the project will be implemented on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.

Furthermore, this upcoming state-of-the-art logistics park will be equipped with inter-modal facilities for freight handling, warehouses, cold storages and custom bonded areas. Resultingly, once completed the MMLP Indore will help in reducing transportation costs and will expectedly generate 10,000 jobs in the state.
