Nehru Stadium gears up for post-election clean-up

Khushboo Ali

In a swift and unprecedented move, Nehru Stadium is set to undergo a thorough cleaning process following the completion of vote counting for the Assembly elections. The stadium, which served as a hub for various election-related activities, will soon be ready for players to resume their games.

The meticulous process began immediately after the vote counting concluded on December 3, with all Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) securely transported to the designated EVM warehouse under tight security. A proactive approach ensured a rapid turnaround, marking the first instance of such expeditious measures for stadium cleaning. The district administration is committed to restoring Nehru Stadium to its original state through repair and maintenance efforts, signaling a commendable focus on both civic duties and recreational facilities.
