Sunday night brought along some great news for school-going children in the city with summer holidays being extended in Indore, according to an announcement by District Collector Illayaraja T. The decision to postpone reopening both government and private schools in Indore till June 19 has been taken in view of the constantly rising temperatures.

It must be noted that many schools were all set to reopen from Monday, June 12 and parents were worried about sending their kids to school in the scorching heat in Indore. But with schools not reopening for another week, and chances of monsoon showers bringing some relief in the meantime, both parents and children can breath a sigh of relief.
