Cricket fever is all set to return to Madhya Pradesh as the Madhya Pradesh League-2025 (MPL) kicks off its second season on May 27 at Indore’s Holkar Stadium. Adding to the excitement, this edition will see the debut of a Women’s Cricket League, a significant step forward for the tournament.

For the first time, a Women’s Cricket League will run alongside the men’s tournament, featuring three teams, including one from Bhopal. The men’s league, which earlier had five teams, now expands to seven with the addition of squads from Chambal and Bundelkhand.

GDCA Vice President Mahanaaryaman Scindia highlighted the significance of the Women’s League, calling it a rare initiative in India aimed at empowering young talent and shaping future cricketing stars.

With the league growing in both scale and opportunity, MPL promises an exciting platform for emerging cricket talent across the state.
