Major enhancement of critical care block at MGM Medical College, Indore announced

In a significant development, Union Health Minister has announced an expansion of the critical care block at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College campus in Indore. The existing 50-bed facility will be augmented to accommodate 100 beds.

To facilitate this expansion, the minister has approved an additional financial assistance of ₹50 crore.

Addressing the Platinum Jubilee Celebration at MGM Medical College, the Union Health responded to the request for a comprehensive action policy for central-level cancer care in Indore.

Furthermore, the Health Minister instructed ACS Health Mohd Suleiman to explore feasible schemes. Emphasising India's unique health model, he underscored the non-commercial nature of the health sector and lauded the sacrifices made by Indian doctors and nurses during the Covid period.

During the event chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, plans were unveiled to develop MY Hospital as a model healthcare facility. The occasion also witnessed the unveiling of a special postage stamp for the Medical College, the launch of a magazine, and the introduction of an alumni portal.
