Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has come together with Indian Medical Association and Central Lab to organise free health check-up camps at their zonal offices. The health camps will be organised from May 5 to 12. The camps are to be held at each zonal office for two days from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. As per the officials, people can just walk in to get themselves tested absolutely free of cost.

A variety of common tests available

People who have problems and doubts about their overall health will benefit the most from these free health checkups. A team of healthcare workers will be present at each zonal office that will conduct the tests. Available tests include blood sugar tests for diabetes, cholesterol test for heart diseases, creatinine GFR for kidneys, and SGPT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase) test for liver health.

In order to spread information about these health camps, IMC is working alongside NGOs and civil societies. The NGOs and civil societies have been made responsible to spread the word among the poor, labourers, and unplanned settlements. Additionally, these bodies They are also responsible for making arrangements to bring people from these areas to the camps.
