Indore is all set to become the second city after Mumbai to house the ChessBase India chess club, which will be inaugurated on March 11 by Head of ChessBase India Hindi, Mr. Niklesh Jain. Akshat Khamparia, the first Chess International Master from Madhya Pradesh, will be present at the inauguration, which will also feature a 3-hour blitz chess tournament.

What will be the venue for the ChessBase chess club?

Phoenix Citadel Mall has been chosen as the venue for the new chess club in Indore. The best part about the chess club is that it is absolutely free and open to all, taking place every Saturday. As for the blitz chess tournament to be held at the inauguration, the online registration for the same has been closed now but anyone willing to participate can reach the venue by 4 PM and register on the spot.

Also, participating in the tournament is not without reward, as players will stand a chance to take home gift vouchers by the Phoenix Citadel Mall along with goodies and gift hampers from the ChessBase India chess club. So, Indoris! Gear up for a Saturday filled with masterful moves on the board and the opportunity to watch top chess players from the state in action.
