Aayushi Madavi

In an attempt to increase the active involvement of the physically challenged in mainstream society, Indore’s District Administration plans to take up initiatives to encourage them to pursue their interest in music.

People who have an interest and knowledge of musical instruments and singing will be given the opportunity to be a part of a rock band. Training will also be provided by the administration. The initiative will help them become performers and subsequently boost their confidence.

Registration process

Those who are interested can apply by providing their details through a Google form. The last date to apply for the programme is set to be June 25. While registering, the candidates will be offered to choose their choice of instrument.

Their options include electric guitars, regular guitars, keyboards, drums, flutes, octapads and more. Apart from preferences, they will also be required to enter details about their disabilities, documentation, personal details and contact details.

People who will successfully register will be screened in an audition. A total of 20 individuals will be selected based on their talents. These selected individuals will be further trained in their choice of instrument or singing style.
