Temperature in Indore crosses 36 degrees Celsius on hottest day of the year

Somya Agarwal

On March 29, day temperatures crossed the 36 degrees Celsius mark, and turned into the hottest day in Indore this year so far. As per the Regional Meteorological Department (RMD), there'll be a slight change in the night temperature, an expected increase of 2 to 3 degrees, in the coming days.

Continuous rise in Indore temperature

According to reports, the current rise in temperature is credited to the hot winds blowing in Madhya Pradesh from Rajasthan for the past couple of days. However, the sky remained partially cloudy on the morning of March 29, but did not bring any relief in climatic conditions.

The maximum temperature on the same day was recorded at 36.3 degrees Celsius (one degree below normal), while the night temperature was recorded at 19.2 degrees Celsius (one degree above normal).

With the continuous rise in temperature, people were seen driving two-wheelers with their faces covered while the roadside kiosks remained busy serving cold drinks to people to beat the heat.
