Three Indore trains have been earmarked to receive the modern German-manufactured LHB rakes in 2024-25. These trains include two weekly trains, namely Indore-Bikaner and Indore-Veraval Mahamana Express. The daily Mhow-Indore-Bhopal Intercity Express is the third train on the list to get these new Linke Hoffman Busch rakes.

Speedy, anti-telescopic, and safer

The three trains in Indore getting the modern LHB rakes have been operating on old conventional rakes. Currently, the aforementioned weekly trains run on 22 rakes, and the daily intercity runs on 21 rakes. After the upgrade, the former will operate with 21 while the latter will run on 22.

It is noteworthy that the Germany-manufactured LHB rakes possess a slew of benefits. First of all, they can run at much higher speeds when compared to conventional rakes. In addition to that, these coaches do not climb up on other coaches during derailment or collision incidents.
