Just this year, the Rajasthan High Court had lowered the minimum age limit, from 23 to 21, for appearing in the Rajasthan Judicial Services examination. On this note, 21-year-old Mayank Pratap Singh, who hails from Jaipur has risen as the youngest judge in India, after he qualified the Judicial Services Exam 2018.

This has attached a historical value to his achievement and surprisingly, this prodigy hasn’t ever taken any coaching nor has he ever used Facebook or WhatsApp.

Mayank has scored 169 marks out of 300, in the mains exam and he bagged a score of 28 out of 35 in the interview round to obtain the first rank.

Delhi, Haryana and Gujarat among other states, have been witnessing 21-year-olds appearing for their respective judicial services exams. But none in Mayank’s age bracket have made it yet which tagged him as the youngest judge in India.

During the final round, Mayank was questioned about the Sabarimala and Ayodhya verdict of the Supreme Court, which had just been announced a day before his interview. This questions ranged from conventional laws to practices, followed by current SC verdicts.

Mayank’s father had been a principal in Rajkumar Singh Government School and his mother too, is a government school teacher. They have even stated that Mayank has been a topper since childhood and honestly, we applaud his sincerity.

In a world where we cannot go an hour without checking on our social media, his success has evidently stemmed from true dedication and discipline.
