After 35 years, Fine Arts program at University of Rajasthan will include digital art

Towards the ever-evolving nature of art!

Drishti Mathur

Art is never constant; it evolves with time and the environment around it. Which is why, after 35 years of its Fine Arts program, the University of Rajasthan will introduce digital art into the program. This change in the Department of Fine Arts curriculum will be implemented in the 2022 academic year.

The digital art scene took flight during the pandemic, when most artists chose digital devices to express their art like graphic designing, digital painting, animation, and more. With the introduction of the new digital art course, students will get more exposure to the fields of digitalization.

Rajasthan University invites visiting faculty to teach new course

As per the Head of the Fine Arts Department, Rajat Pandel, subjects such as digital sculpting, animation, and product photography will be added to the curriculum. Further, adding digital arts to the program will encourage students to develop better skills and choose careers in animation and advertising companies.

According to the reports, the University has invited the visiting faculties to teach the newly introduced digital art course.
