In an attempt to assess the expenditure on COVID patients across medical colleges in Rajasthan, the officials will implement an extensive audit program from tomorrow. As per reports, the Medical Education Department has constituted 6 teams of doctors in various institutions of the state, each having a total of 4 senior doctors. Under this program to be completed by June 29, these teams would visit the medical colleges to inspect and examine the available healthcare facilities.

The monitoring groups will function across various heads of mucormycosis audit, prescription audit, ICU audit, medicine and oxygen audit, amongst other things. After a comprehensive report is formalised, it shall be handed over to the commissioner of medical education in the state. While the SMS Medical College in Jaipur will audit the dealings at Ajmer's Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, the institution itself will be assessed by the officials from Kota Medical College.

Reportedly, State Medical College at Kota will be audited by JLN Medical Collge, Ajmer and Bikaner's Sardar Patel Medical College will be inspected by the doctors from Jodhpur's Dr. Sampurnanand Medical College. Additionally, Udaipur's Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College will be audited by Bikaner Medical College and it will audit Dr. SN Medical College in Jodhpur.
It is noteworthy that the central and state administrations have released guidelines for monitoring the COVID-related operations at the medical centres, from time to time. Adhering to these rules, 6 audit teams have been formed in Rajasthan now, which would scrutinise the works by medical colleges.
