In an attempt to boost international business and commerce, an Express Cargo Clearance System facility was started in Jaipur, on Monday. Launched by the chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, the latest service shall ease the international delivery process, propelling global retail from Rajasthan's capital city. As per reports, Jaipur Customs has initiated this scheme, wherein the courier system will be a part of the import-export plan.

Reportedly, the introduction of this courier service will help in fueling international imports and exports by cutting down on time and effort. It is expected that maximum advantages shall accrue to the firms in the MSME sector with the inception of this facility.

Reportedly, this brings forward a fully automated process, where minimal testing and quick clearance will accelerate the delivery of products. Besides reducing the overall cost, it will also help in saving time, as compared to the current import-export cargo system.

Facility to be expanded in association with the Postal Department

Reportedly, the Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs highlighted the increasing importance of Jaipur in the field of international business. He also stated that the department is planning to augment the reach of the customs facility. For this purpose, it will collaborate with the Postal Department.

As per reports, Jaipur is the seventh city in the nation to have this international courier terminal. Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Cochin, Chennai and Ahmedabad, already have this service.
