Jaipur station gets branded as the cleanest railway station in India!

Knocksense Staff

As another feather in Jaipur's shiny cap, the city's railway station has been declared the cleanest in the country, even more clean than Indore's, which is the cleanest city.

Only recently, it was announced that Jaipur was home to India's cleanest railway station. This comes as part of the Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat survey. Jaipurites, pat yourself on the back and the next time someone tells you that their city is better than yours, you know what to counter them with!

What's the update?

In a first for Jaipur, the city's railway station has dethroned Jodhpur and has emerged as the winner for the cleanest railway station survey. The fact that the city's railway station has been awarded the cleanest railway station in the country is nothing short of spectacular and it makes one proud to be a Jaipurite.

Also, now Jaipur will be looked upon as more than just a city with a vibrant past and a colourful heritage. This marks a change in Jaipurites’ habits and also puts Jaipur on a pedestal of one of the most developed cities in the country.

The authorities were able to achieve this with the help of implementing sanitation rules and constructing toilets at all accessible places. Apart from that, installation of garbage cans and segregation of waste was one thing that especially had an effect on the cleanliness of the place.

Needless to say, the staff and workers, along with die-hard Jaipurites, worked day and night to achieve this. Keeping the entire station clean is a herculean task and when it’s a station the size of Jaipur, it becomes a daunting challenge that must be taken head on.

Knock Knock

After obtaining the "Heritage City" tag from UNESCO, this award comes as another laurel in Jaipur's wreath. We're glad that the city is constantly progressing and can't wait to see more of what the city has under its belt.
