In an effort to increase productivity, the Rajasthan government will deploy 1,000 drones which will help quickly spray pesticides in fields. A budget Rs. 40 crore has been allocated for the purchase of said drones. The move will likely increase the profit margins by providing a substitute for the old process. It will also help bring about technological revolutions in farming and agriculture.

Drones will first be provided to Village Service Cooperative Societies and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs). Farmers will also be trained to operate and use the drones. Additionally, farmers will soon be provided seeds of improved varieties at affordable rates.
