MG Motors launches first 24x7, EV charging facility in Jaipur's residential area

SAIC-owned Morris Garages India on Friday inaugurated Jaipur’s first residential community charging facility. The two EV chargers have been installed at Raj Aangan Society (NRI Colony), Jaipur, Rajasthan. The said station promises to have Type-2 charging facility and sim supported sharable Charger Management System.

1000 new charging points in 1000 days

Under the MG Charge initiative, the automaker has planned to install 1,000 AC fast chargers at residential localities across India in the next 1,000 days. The company will also provide end-to-end coordination and support for the installation process, saving costs for the selected residential societies.

The move by MG India is to ensure appropriate EV infrastructure in the country, offering citizens, accessibility and availability of resources. These AC charging stations shall be operational throughout the day i.e. 24x7. With the increasing demand for electric vehicles, automobile giants are shifting toward providing fuel-efficient energy solutions.
