Replacing old technology with new, SMS Hospital, Jaipur is bringing a whole new way to look at coronary angiography. With a newly installed 256 Slice Dual Energy CT Scan Machine, patients will no longer have to given ’beta blockers’ to reduce heartbeat. The said machine has cost a whopping ₹12 crore out of the administrations pocket, but it is all for the good of medical care in Jaipur.

With useful features like high speed and accurate testing, this machine is first-of-it’s-kind at the government level hospital. The machine will help to easily detect serious conditions like the type of kidney stone, blood flow, any blockage in lungs or brain without any side effects. According to doctors, the SMS Hospital can cater up to 4 to 5 coronary angiography patients per day.

Under the government's Nirogi Scheme, patients will also be able to get free check-up and avail benefits of the new technology.
