Abhivyakti 2025: IIT Kanpur’s startup festival in full swing, concludes tomorrow

The event brings groups of industry leaders, experts, and academics together.

The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur kicked off its annual flagship startup festival, Abhivyakti on January 17. Running till January 19, the three-day event brings together a diverse group of industry leaders, experts, academics, and students, fostering collaboration and innovation. Read on to know what unfolded on the first day of Abhivyakti at IIT Kanpur!

Abhivyakti Day 1

The day was marked by a series of inventions. One innovation was a Phase Change Material-Based Thermal Management System, developed by Prof. Sri Sivakumar. Further, Sudatta Mandal, Deputy Managing Director of SIDBI Bank, presented a ₹5 crore corpus letter to Prof. Agrawal.

Soumanil Mukherjee and Dr. Abhay Jere, explored topics such as leadership in technology and the role of collaborative innovation in national development.

Additionally, two MoUs were signed. One with Tally and the other with Government Institute of Medical Sciences. Overall, the first day of Abhivyakti concluded on an optimistic note, with a range of activities still to come.
