Ever since its inauguration towards the end of 2022, Kanpur boat club has received overwhelming support from the public. In an attempt to cope with the rising demand, the boat club at Ganga Barrage has added another speed boat to its fleet, taking its total speed boat tally to 4.

More facilities to come up at Kanpur boat club

While taking a ride of the new boat, the secretary of the Boat Club said that Kanpurites can expect a host of new facilities to be added at the water sports hub in the near future. The place already attracts hundreds every day, thanks to attractions such as Ganga aarti and light show, but the number shoots up exponentially on holidays.

It must be noted that one of the goals of starting the boat club at Ganga Barrage is also to boost water sports in the region by facilitating national level kayaking, canoeing and rowing championships. If the continued expansion of the fleet is anything to go by, Kanpur boat club is well on its way to achieving its goal and becoming a hub of professional water sport in the region.
