On Thurdsay, senior police officials were seen greeting morning walkers with roses and inquiring about their well-being at multiple locations. Labelled as the ‘Good Morning Kanpur’ campaign, it is expected to generate a positive response while bridging the gap between police and the public.
Obtaining vital feedback from city residents
Thousands of city residents venture out during the early morning hours for brisk walking and yoga sessions. On Wednesday, the Police Commissioner of Kanpur allotted the task of ensuring the safety of these individuals to the DCPs of three zones of Kanpur. Now, this task of protection has been extended into a campaign that aims at assuring citizens of their safety as they leave their homes to work upon their health.
Police officials, including ACPs and DCPs were seen at Ganga Barrage and Comapny Bagh, as they participated in the ‘Good Morning Kanpur’ campaign. Under this campaign, every morning, police personnel shall be visiting spots that are popular among health enthusiasts and collect vital feedback regarding issues they face on a regular basis.
As per the apex police authority, the ‘Good Morning Kanpur’ campaign shall greatly enhance the perception of police that people have. It is important for the proper administration of a city, that people see the police as an accessible system where their woes shall be heard. While furthering this idea, this campaign will also encourage cooperation between the two stakeholders involved.
