IIT Kanpur collabs with Samsung R&D Institute for joint research on AI tech

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, is committed to advancing technology in collaboration with public and private sectors. Recently, it signed a five-year MoU with Samsung R&D Institute, Noida, focusing on collaborative AI and ML research projects. The partnership aims to enhance the skills of both Samsung engineers and IIT Kanpur students, preparing them for the industry.

Several initiative aligned to benefit both IIT-K students and Samsung engineers

In response to the escalating integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models across diverse sectors, SRI and IIT-K will undertake collaborative research initiatives spanning multiple fields. These encompass healthcare, visual technologies, framework development, B2B security and pioneering advancements such as cloud computing and generative AI (genAI).

Additionally, joint efforts will be dedicated to crafting solutions aligned with the Digital India initiative, in partnership with Samsung engineers.

Within the scope of Samsung engineers' professional development, IIT Kanpur will administer specialized training programs covering a spectrum of domains. These programs will grant access to the esteemed expertise of the institute, culminating in degree programs, certifications and tailored courses designed to fortify the skill sets and knowledge base of Samsung engineers.
