IIT Kanpur inks MoU with ICICI bank to boost entrepreneurial ecosystem in India

With an aim of empowering the Indian entrepreneurial ecosystem, IIT Kanpur has joined hands with ICICI bank. The partnership will help bolster startups and innovators at the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) of IIT Kanpur. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was recently signed between the two parties.

Through the partnership, the multinational giant will offer fundraising support, digital banking services, regulatory aid and knowledge-sharing events.

Building a comprehensive support system for startups

Along with the above, startups will also have the opportunity to connect with potential investors, receive financial aid and compliance guidance.

The step will "empower startups with digital prowess, simplify compliance, explore new horizons. ICICI Bank will assist incubatees in... fundraising, leveraging our extensive network with VC/PEs/Funds/HNI/UHNI connections. This game-changing collaboration promises endless opportunities for innovation and growth," SIIC took to Twitter to share.

The overall goal of the development is to create a comprehensive support system for startups and foster a rich ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation.
