India's FIRST Vande Bharat Sleeper Train to connect Mumbai to key UP cities | Know Features

Trial run for the Vande Bharat Sleeper is likely to begin from August 15.

India is all set to get its first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train! This train, connecting Bareilly to Mumbai in 8 hours, will also link other UP cities such as Aligarh, Agra, and Jhansi. Moreover, this new Vande Bharat train will have a range of advanced features, such as sensor-based lighting, upgraded staircases, and more.

Starting its journey from Bareilly, this new Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will stop at Chandosi, Aligarh, Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Khandwa, Jalgaon, and Manmad, before reaching Mumbai.

Furthermore, out of the 16 coaches on this train, there will be 11 Third AC, 4 Second AC, and 1 First AC coaches. However, this first-of-its-kind Vande Bharat train will be slightly slower than its chair-car counterparts, which operate at the top speed of 130 km/h.

As for the timeline, reports suggest that the first trial run for this new Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will be conducted on August 15, 2024.
