Kanpur witnessed excessive heat on Tuesday with the maximum temperature in the city reaching 46.3°C, while the minimum temperature stood at 35.3°C. This hike in temperature meant that Kanpur was the hottest city in UP on Tuesday.

According to the meteorological department, rains are expected in Kanpur, along with other UP cities, by June 22. Pre-monsoon activities have already begun in the city, intensifying hopes of Kanpur weather taking a pleasant turn.
