In a notable update, the Kanpur Metro project is currently advancing at a remarkable pace, with the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) simultaneously working on various segments of the metro corridor.

This past Saturday marked a significant milestone as the Kanpur Metro successfully completed the installation of all precast structures, including I-girders and U-girders, in the ramp area linking the priority section (IIT-Motijheel) to the Baradevi-Naubasta underground corridor, near Brijendra Swaroop Park.

Chunniganj-Nayanganj underground corridor inches completion

Reportedly, the precast girders are set to bolster the 315-meter-long metro ramp, facilitating the transition between the elevated high-priority corridor and the underground Chunniganj-Nayanganj section.

On the other hand, significant progress has been reported on the Chunniganj-Nayanganj corridor, with viaduct construction nearing completion. Furthermore, construction activities are swiftly advancing on both the Kanpur Central-Transport Nagar underground section and the Baradevi-Naubasta elevated section.
