Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University has put pen to paper on a Memorandum of Agreement with Puerto Rico's Inter American University. With Kanpur's CSJMU signing the MoA, both educational institutions now have an agreement for student and faculty exchange in a range of disciplines.

Apart from enabling student exchange and other such initiatives, the said MoA will also mean that both universities will organize joint scientific meetings, giving international exposure to their students. Furthermore, students at CSJMU might also get the opportunity to spend a semester studying in the USA, thanks to this collaboration.

During the signing of the MoA, representatives from both the universities emphasized the need for embracing futuristic technology and innovation in a number of fields. As of now, the Inter American University and CSJMU will work together in the fields of agriculture, optometry, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.
