Knocksense Shorts | Apollo Hospitals inks MoU with IIT Kanpur to promote Medtech breakthroughs

Early-stage diagnosis of ailments, enhanced patient care, better safety for surgical procedures and augmentation in the efficiency of medicine are just a few advantages of the application of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.

Pertaining to the same, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and Apollo Hospitals announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for promoting collaborative medtech developments.

The MoU was signed recently by Prof. AR Harish, Dean R&D, IIT Kanpur and Prof. Krishnan Ganapathy, Director of Apollo Telemedicine, Apollo Hospitals in the presence of other dignitaries from both institutions.

Reportedly, the first-of-its-kind partnership between Asia’s largest integrated healthcare provider and globally renowned tech institute is expected to fuel cooperative research in the clinical application of artificial intelligence and other areas of mutual interest in healthcare technology.
