Effective February 13, passengers flying to India directly or via Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Hong-Kong, South Korea and China will no longer require a negative COVID-19 pre-departure test report, or a self-health declaration on the “air suvidha” portal. However, they will still be subject to 2% random testing on arrival in India, irrespective of the country of origin.

After receiving “sustained and significant decline in trajectory of coronavirus cases” report from these six countries, Union Health Ministry decided to revise COVID-19 norms in India. Further, as per World Health Organisation’s latest situational update, a 89% decline has been observed globally in newly confirmed cases in the past 28 days as compared to 28 days prior to that.
