The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Navy. The collaboration will witness the premier institute conduct joint research and work on development initiatives with the Navy.

As part of this collaboration, teams from IIT Kanpur and the Center of Excellence (Marine Engineering) at INS Lonavla will work together on a number of joint initiatives. This MoU also signifies a major step towards strengthening the technological prowess of India's Defense Forces by working closely with the country's top academic and research institutes.
