Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) signed an MoU with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) this Monday, to induct the institute as their knowledge partner for understanding the use of blockchain technology.

Reportedly, with the help of IIT Kanpur, KDA will adopt blockchain technology to prevent fraudulent activities related to the tampering of documents of properties, which will eventually become negligible. This is aimed toward the convenience of the general public of the city in order to prevent the KDA properties from fraud.

Notably, development authorities of major cities in Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have adopted and benefited from the use of this technology earlier.
