Plastic is a ubiquitous part of modern life. In a bid to de-plastic Kanpur, every Sunday ploggers gather at local ghats and other public places to ensure a plastic-free setup.

This weekend, Kanpur Ploggers gathered at the Atal Ghat, Gola Ghat and Sarsaiya Ghat, in order to ensure a clean and healthy environment. This marked week 60 of their initiative to make the city plastic free. According to Sanjivni Sharma, the organization in association with Nagar Nigam has entered into Week.60 of their mission. More than 300 volunteers have joined the ploggers band, so far. Further, check out their IG handle, @kanpurploggers for daily updates.
