Knocksense Shorts | MLIT 18 at IIT Kanpur gets 70% funding support from central govt.

The said partnership will bring about revolutionary impact in the automation, manufacturing and railway department.

MLIT-18 Technology Private Limited is an incubatee of Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur that builds AI platforms to convert visual data for applied intelligence. Recently, the central government entered into an agreement with MLIT 18 at IIT Kanpur and approved to provide funding support to the startup. The allocation will be used for commercialising machine vision and robotics system for automation in the manufacturing industry. 

As per officials, the Technology Development Board, under the Centre's Department of Science and Technology has pledged a support of ₹4.12 crore out of the total project cost ₹5.89 crore, almost 70% of the cost. MLIT will help build indigenous solutions in manufacturing and railway departments, with a direct impact on quality assurance and inspection systems.
