With the deadline for project completion set for December 2024, work on Kanpur Metro has picked up speed. In the latest update, the work on the Baradevi-Naubasta section of the 2nd corridor is over 60% completed. Out of the 276 pillars to be erected on the 5km stretch, 200 have already been raised.

It is noteworthy that the aforementioned section of Kanpur Metro will include a total of five stations. These will come up in Baradevi, Kidwai Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Boudh Nagar, and Naubasta. In additional updates, Kanpur Metro Rail Project officials say that the work has also sped up on the underground Chunniganj-Nayaganj section.
