Kanpur

Now you can book the Kanpur Metro to celebrate your birthdays in all grandeur!

Khushbu Kirti

An experience like no other, the Kanpur Metro is offering a new facility — to let passengers book a bogie in advance and hold birthday celebrations inside the moving train.

The experience of celebrating an occasion with the loved ones while slicing the cake in a moving metro is unique in its own sense. For this, a metro bogie can be booked, tickets can be bought for the people involved in the party, and that's it. Let the metro admin handle the rest!

Know everything Kanpur Metro admin is offering

Citizens can book a coach by paying ₹500. The booking has to be made a day prior to the D-day, while the ones who are throwing the party will have to pay for the tickets of the invitees. Basically, every passenger will have to possess a travelling ticket, which is ₹30 for one route and ₹60 for both ways.

With this, you also have the metro administration taking care of all the arrangements, with balloons and other decorations put up to glorify the day! Reportedly, plastic chairs will be used to separate the rest of the passengers (the non-party people), demarcating the area reserved for the party.

If you wish to go one step further and book outlets located at the metro stations for the celebration, the metro admin allows for you to do the same! In short, anytime between 6 AM to 10 PM, you can now celebrate your birthdays or other occasion in all glory.

Knock knock

The above decision to allow hosting parties on the metro has been taken in order to attract more localites and, in turn, increase the number of people taking the metro daily. The Kanpur Metro currently covers the Moti Jheel to Kalyanpur Metro Station route.
