“Cawnpore” was the epicenter of the uproar that burned in the hearts of people all over the country, with agitations which left a mark in India’s history.

Starting at the Nana Rao Park, which is a standing memoir of the sacrifices made by people for the freedom of the country, from the jaws of the cruel British rule. The walk will explore the events which lead to Kanpur becoming in the center of the agitations and witnessed several massacres which wrote the story of our freedom in red.

You will also learn about how the war which had begun in Meerut, slowly spread to other cities of Uttar Pradesh like Kanpur, Lucknow and Allahabad. How, under the leadership of brave leaders such Nana Sahib and Tatya Tope, Kanpur soon became the centre of the revolt, leading to massacres at Satichaura, Bibighar and Boodha Bargad.
