The much-anticipated Kanpur Literature Festival kicked off today at the Gaur Hari Singhania Institute, bringing a celebration of art, music, literature, and cinema. Organized by the Kanpur Literature Society, the two-day festival features a vibrant lineup of events.
As for today's line-up the festival will start with the screening of Main Nida, a film on the life of renowned poet Nida Fazli. This was followed by an address by the film’s director, Atul Pandey, and the official inauguration of the festival. Today’s schedule includes an array of cultural highlights, such as a poetry showcase, captivating storytelling sessions, and a live band performance.
For tomorrow, the event will start with an Open Mic session kicking off the day and an art exhibition by acclaimed artist Ashok Bhowmik. Later, Pramod Pathak will host a discussion on Indian Theatre, culminating in a grand theatrical performance by NSD alumnus Ajay Kumar.
