UP News | With 62% construction work completed, Gorakhpur Link Expressway to be ready soon

Giving major boast to connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur Link Expressway will soon be ready for operations. As of now, 62% construction work on the said 91.35 kms long expressway connecting Jaitpur in Gorakhpur to Azamgarh has been completed. The estimated budget for the project is ₹5,876 crore.

The construction of the industrial expressway will pave the way for all-round development of Uttar Pradesh as it connects to various production units.

Proving hassle-free connectivity between Lucknow, Agra and Delhi too

Saving time and enabling connectivity for travellers, the expressway will ensure hassle-free movement of vehicular traffic from Delhi, Lucknow and Agra, stated Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). It will also be linked to Varanasi through a separate Link Road.

As per reports, the Gorakhpur Link Expressway will be a total access-controlled expressway as it will encompass 2 toll plazas, 3 ramp plazas, 7 flyovers, 66 vehicular underpasses, 35 pedestrian underpasses, 27 minor bridges and 7 major bridges.

Further, the project will also create opportunities for ITIs and medical institute to develop along the expressway.
