18-day Bengali Drama contest to start in Lucknow from December 23

Entry will be FREE for visitors to every play.

The Bengali Club in Lucknow is all set to host the 57th All India Prakash Chandra Ghosh Memorial full-length Bengali Drama Competition from December 23. Teams from Kolkata, New Delhi, and other parts of the country will participate in this 18-day drama competition.

Vijay Tendulkar's 'Kamala'

The drama contest will feature famous plays like Kabuliwala and Mahamaya by Rabindranath Tagore and Kamla by Vijay Tendulkar. Gautam Bhattacharya, Rajkumar Pal, Shomik Roy, and other established directors will participate in this contest.

It is noteworthy that this drama competition has been going on since 1963, after the passing away of acclaimed Bengali theatre artist Prakash Chandra Ghosh. All the plays will begin at 7 PM and entry will be absolutely free for the visitors.
