23 new state-of-the-art bus stations in UP to elevate the standards of inter-state travel

Muskaan Tekwani

In a bid to augment the state transport infrastructure, the Uttar Pradesh administration has decided to make way for 23 major bus stations, just like the modern Alambagh Bus Terminal in Lucknow. As per reports, these new depots will be constructed, operated and maintained on a public-private partnership model.

For easy, safe, economical & eco-friendly transport

Buses are one of the most commonly used means of transport, when it comes to both inter-state and intrastate travel. The demand for bus services is high, given their easy availability and comparatively cheaper fares, which is why new modern bus stations are the need of the hour.

With better infrastructure, more and more people would switch to bus travel, increasing the tourist influx from states like Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir. These services, are notably commissioned under the inter-state bus service agreement signed with other Indian states.

Besides, international bus services to Nepal have been started from Delhi, via Mahendranagar, Pokhara and Nepalganj.
