Owing to the grand war drill of the Indian Air Force, Gagan Shakti Abhiyan, Agra-Lucknow expressway will not be functional between April 2-11. However, a diversion system is in place to make up for the closure of the same.

Anyone who wishes to take the expressway will be redirected to the service road. Moreover, only 3.5 km of the 302 km long expressway will be blocked between the Bangarmau and Unnao airstrip. Here, for the rehearsal, aircrafts will be landed on April 6-7 for which the stretch will be cleared of any vehicle. The traffic service will reopen after 12 PM on April 11.

The 10-day war exercise "Gagan Shakti" is being organised in Pokhran's field firing range, with the participation of around 10,000 IAF airmen. In sync with the Defence Ministry's guidelines, Western and Northern fronts will be included in the drill.
