The surging population in Lucknow and other surrounding areas, had left the people in crammed spaces but now, the city's area has increased by a substantial percentage which is leading to dispersing the population density. Under the jurisdiction of Lucknow Municipal Corporation, there has been an inclusion of 88 new villages, which are soon set to receive necessary facilities of the LMC. To further advance the developmental activities, the LMC authorities will be proposing a budget to the government. A notification was issued by the Municipal Development Department, to include 88 villages in the Municipal Corporation ambit but due to the non-issue of denotification from Panchayati Raj Department, these villages were left hanging. But now, the ambiguity stands cleared by the Panchayati Raj Department. A letter had been issued, which stated that from the 1st of November 1, 88 villages will be handed over to the LMC. On the basis of this letter, the Municipal Corporation commenced the acquisition exercise.

Soon, the authorities are also planning on launching a campaign to vacate the occupied lands and the work of analyzing the government lands, is already in motion and further, the officials have added that the expanses will be secured by fencing.

The villages including Khargapur, Uttardhauna, Laulai, Bhitholi, Mirzapur, Gudamba, amidst others, will get urban facilities like cleanliness, proper roads, a drainage system, consistent water sources and so on. After the results of the ongoing survey here, the budget requirements will be clear.
