October really has no chill! One minute you’re pandal hopping for Durga Puja, and the next, Dussehra is knocking with another reason to ditch the couch. And no, you can’t call it a festive season well spent without watching a giant Ravan go up in flames, soaking in the mela vibes and eating your way through the evening. Here are 9 spots to catch Ravan Dahan in the city!
With a small scale mela with cutesy little stalls to shop and eat, the Ravan Dahan near Juggauli crossing is one happening showcase of sorts. If you live around the area in Gomti Nagar, do visit the spot for a fireshow.

Ravan has had the same ending for thousands of years, so someone gave him a better body. At Aishbagh Ramleela Ground, he stands 75 feet tall, moves on his own, and runs on AI, the first robotic Ravan in Uttar Pradesh. The Sri Ramleela Mahotsav 2026 wrapped a full stage show around him.

The best seat at Gurukul Academy’s Dussehra is next to the food stall. That way you catch the dandiya, the music, the cultural programs, and the grand Ravan Dahan without moving your feet. It’s an Indira Nagar tradition where families show up for one thing and stay for all of it.

Sixty-odd years of losing, and this Ravan still turns up at full height. Around 80 feet of him, with a 70-foot Meghnad beside him, facing a crowd that knows the ending and came anyway. The mela stalls handle the waiting, the stage performances handle the build-up, and the matchstick handles the rest.

Everyone at Sahara State Ravan Dahan Park in Jankipuram arrives for the same reason. The pandals are lovely and the fairs are fun, but the crowd has its eyes on one man and one matchstick. Ravan is the only guest who doesn’t leave with a stall snack in hand. The only one who leaves, in fact, is the smoke.

Every kid in Aliganj learns the ending of the Ramayan from a rooftop. Near Naye Hanuman Mandir, the mela crowds the lanes, the Ramleela plays on, and Ravan and Meghnath go up while children on shoulders point at the sparks.

Ravan has to sit through nine nights of his own downfall before he gets burned. At Ramlila Maidan in Hind Nagar, the stage performances run all the way up to Vijayadashami, replaying the story in slow motion. By the time the ceremonial dahan arrives, it feels less like a surprise and more like a verdict.

Chancellor Club has figured out how to make a defeat feel like a party. Dandiya, garba, a DJ, food stalls, and drinks fill the evening, then Ravan goes up in flames and the firecrackers take over on Oct 20. Families get a night out, Ravan gets top billing and no after-party.

The dandiya sticks are out, the DJ is warming up, and Ravan is the only one at BBD Badminton Academy who isn’t dancing. On Oct 17, Dandiya Raas & Ravan Dahan 2026 brings garba, food stalls, and a firecracker show for the whole family.
