Khushbu Kirti

A delight for all the birders and ornithophiles alike, a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed bird fest is starting from tomorrow in Bundelkhand and it is summoning all wildlife adorers!

This lively affair, marking the seventh season of UP Nature And Bird Festival, is happening at Vijay Sagar Bird Sanctuary. Bundelkhand, a part of both Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, in itself is a historic and panoramic site.

Promoting wildlife tourism, birding, and nature conservation, this festival will incorporate exciting excursions, panel discussions, photo exhibits, book launches, besides the bird-watching and wildlife photography opportunities.

A biodiversity-rich festival

On the same, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & Head of Forest Force UP Mamta Sanjeev Dubey stated, “Over the past few years, the UP Forest Department along with UP Tourism have created some beautiful circuits across the state’s forests, its rich plethora of historical sites, ancient cities, landmarks and natural beauty, offering responsible nature and culture-based experiences for tourists.”

Apart from the huge diversity in birds, including winter migratory birds, nature lovers will also get to witness flourishing wildlife and find animals like tigers, leopards, rhinoceros, swamp deer, jackals, crocodiles, and so on. The sanctuary also houses a picturesque 11th-century Vijay Sagar Lake.

The goal is to nurture and encourage nature-based ecotourism and cultural tourism in Uttar Pradesh.
