A stellar phenomenon that occurred a century ago, will finally take place once again, today. Be ready to watch the moon change its colour into copper red or red as blood and grow bigger in size and shine brighter.

After 100 years, super moon, lunar eclipse and blue moon, will coincide on Wednesday and change the appearance of the moon completely. The celestial event will begin at 5:18 pm, but the best time to see the moon would be 6:21 pm.

A total of five telescopes will be installed at the clock tower for the general public and the phenomenon would be witnessed for 76.4 minutes in the city. Regional Science centre in Aliganj will also be making arrangements to witness the moon change, from 5-8 pm.

In some parts of the world, the great coinciding between super moon, blue moon and Lunar eclipse took place 35 years ago. After Wednesday, stargazers will have to wait this 2037, to witness this celestial event take place once again.
