Students of the eminent Avadh Girls' Degree College in Lucknow will soon be able to make use of a unique 'happiness lab' on the college premises. In a bid to elevate personal happiness and understand mental health in a more refined manner, the lab will analyse a multitude of perspectives, provide strategies and solutions to problems, and help students tackle stressful situations.

The college has introduced another aberrant initiative in the form a box that goes by the name 'Dost'. This will invite anonymous suggestions from students where they could express themselves in writing, ask for help if needed, and so on.

Emerging emotionally stronger, together

"The young generations face stress on various counts and this initiative will help them deal with situations and emerge emotionally stronger," College Principal Professor Bina Rai talked about the initiative.

A 'Mental Heath and Well-being Camp’, under the aegis of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was also organised recently at AGDC. In the manner, the age-old institution has been taking steps in the right direction of boosting mental wellbeing of students. The efforts are slated to bring about a positive change.
