Ajay Devgn along with Ileana D’Cruz arrived in Lucknow on Sunday for the shooting of ‘Raid’. Ajay Devgn tweeted about his upcoming movie and his visit to Lucknow, on Sunday.

The two-time National Award winning actor is coming up with his new movie ‘Raid’ and the shooting is commencing here on Monday.

It is no doubt that Lucknow is becoming a favorite choice for the movie directors. In recent years, movies like Ishaqzade, Bullet Raja, Dawat-E-Ishq, Jolly LLB and Jolly LLB2 have beautifully captured the essence of Lucknow.  Some of the scenes of Ajay Devgn’s iconic film Omkara were also shot in Lucknow. After Omkara, this is for the second time Ajay Devgn is coming to Lucknow.

Raid is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who has previously directed ‘No One Killed Jessica’ and Rajeev Khandelwal’s ‘Aamir’. The script is written by Ritesh Shah who has written scripts for movies like ‘Neerja’ and ‘Airlift’.

Known for his intense roles, Ajay Devgan is going to play the role of an income tax officer. While, Ileana D’Cruz will be playing Ajay Devgn’s love interest in the movie. Raid is centered around a famous income tax raid in UP and is thus based on real life incidents.

After Badshaho, Ajay Devgan is back with this film and we hope that the audience will enjoy this movie and it will succeed in recreating the magic of his blockbuster films.
