School timings in Lucknow for all private, aided, and government schools up to Class 12 has been changed to 7:30 AM to 1 PM, effective from today. This move has been undertaken by the city administration in view of the rising mercury and the heatwave.

Notably, the government had only changed the timings for schools run by the Basic Education Department. For the wellbeing of the students, the change has now been extended to include all schools in the state.
