Lucknow

Attention, bibliophiles, for the 19th National Book Fair is making a comeback in Lucknow!

Khushbu Kirti

The month of festivals began early this year for the book lovers and we can smell the fragrance residing on those pages already! A bliss for bibliophiles, the 19th edition of the National Book Fair is returning to Lucknow to captivate us with an abundance of books and we're ready!

The entry will, of course, be free for this much-loved book fair, this time too. Additionally, what will intrigue the keen shoppers is the 10% off applicable at all stalls here, which basically means worry-free shopping!

Are you ready, Lucknow, to shop for books and experience the readers' joy like none other?!

Har Ghar Pustakalaya

A portal to paradise, the National Lucknow Book Fair is pretty much a confluence for the book nerds. This 10-day extravaganza, that begins tomorrow (and we cannot exactly contain our excitement), will see some 48 participants, including national and foreign publishing houses and bookstores. It will also host various book releases, Kavi Sammelans and Mushayaras. Besides, various programmes for children will be held online throughout the event.

The theme this year is 'Har Ghar Pustakalaya', encouraging all to revive the reader hiding inside. The idea is that every household should have a library of at least a few books, because, well, what is life without books? We could say 'a body without a soul' but that's the cliched sayings without which we convince you.

Knock knock, lit lovers!

Also, please note, the fair will be following COVID protocols, hence, do not forget to wear a mask. The love for books might not keep you away from Balrampur Gardens tomorrow onwards, but the no-mask-no-entry policy will!

Hear, hear, literature lovers, for this is your time to shine!

When: September 23 - October 2, 11 AM - 5 PM

(Inauguration of the book fair to take place on September 23 at 5 PM)

Where: Balrampur Garden, Opposite Doordarshan Kendra, Ashok Marg, Hazratganj, Lucknow
